Can’t wait to go on a sailboat again next year!

SailMeNow Guide

Sailboats are the first choice when it comes to sailing. Sailboat charter is the most economical choice when it comes to holidays by sea.It is easy to find a suitable sailboat for you as there are many options available. Many sailing yachts offer luxury cabins and spacious interior so that you can enjoy luxury sailing without having to spend a fortune.
Things to Know

In order to sail a yacht, you will need skippers license. Don’t worry if you do not have a certificate, we can easily hire a skipper, simply add it as an option or request it from our agents.

When you charter a yacht a Safety Deposit is necessary. This Deposit covers any accidental damage done to the vessel and will be refunded after check-out after a full inside-out inspection of the boat. The value of the Security Deposit depends on the model, year built and brand of the boat.

If you do not wish to give a security deposit you can take the option of the Deposit Waver if the owner offers that possibility. This option is cheaper than the Security Deposit but it is not refundable after check-out.

The cancellation policy is included in the charter document and it depends on the yacht owner.

One of our qualified agents will receive your request and search all available options that suit your criteria. Once your yacht is found, we will contact you with our best offers and discounts.

As soon as you have completed your booking you can get in touch with the skipper of the requested yacht.

A Transit log is a mandatory payment that can include bed linen, cleaning, base marina fees, tourist tax and even an onboard internet connection. The Transit Log differs depending on the boat, the yacht owner and the location of the boat. When you proceed with a booking you will be able to see the specifications and price of the Transit Log.

Extra costs may include fuel and marina fees. Both of them may be different depending on the type of boat and date of your sailing holiday (Low-High season). Fuel costs differ whether you are sailing a motorboat or a sailboat. This cost can be estimated by checking the engine specification of the boat and estimating the distance you are planning to sail. As for marina fees they depend from the marina you want to maroon your boat and the number of the marinas you wish to visit.

Yes of course, you can bring your own food and drinks on the boat in order to enjoy your sailing holidays any way you want. Food provisions depend on your preference and many stores are usually located close to marinas.

Depending on the yacht and the capacity, cabins differ. Some are twin beds, some are double beds some are single beds. The bigger the boat the more spacious cabins will have.

Upon request there is an extra transfer cost arranged by car/ van to pick you up from the airport and transport you to the embarkation marina. The cost of this extra depends on the company, the car and the distance.

Of course. There are standard European sockets on all of the sailboats where you can charge all of your electronic devices such as mobiles, laptops, hairdryers etc.

When you complete your booking, you will need to provide some documents to the fleet owner. These are skipper’s license (if you have), copy of ID/passport, crew list and your time of arrival at the marina in order to start the embarkation procedure.

Yes, you can send a request for 2-5 days but the usual standard duration is a week (Saturday- Saturday), when best prices and discount apply. Less days charter might be more expensive or unavailable (depending on the fleet owner). So, if you are flexible with the dates then choose 1 week, if not, we will try to find the best solution fitting your needs.

Usually all of the skippers and crew speaks fluent English and are ready to satisfy your every need for the best sea vacations of your life.

If your party is more than the maximum boat capacity then the local authorities won’t let you leave the port. So, for bigger groups we advise 2 or more sailboats.

If you wish an outboard dinghy then you can easily choose the extra option (of course with extra cost). The dinghy is the perfect option if you want to explore the shore and the swallow turquoise waters.

Before beginning your holidays, you will receive full details of the marina and the yacht’s location. For any other questions, you will also receive contact information from the person in the marina that is willing to answer your every question.
